This cruise is the first half of a circumnavigation of Vancouver Island. Departing Oak Bay on the 3rd May, the cruise first leg will visit scenic anchorages on the way to a stopover at Campbell River Discovery Marina, after which we will continue on the second leg through challenging and spectacular Johnstone Strait to a stopover at Port Hardy on 14th May.
The cruise is being conducted under the guidance of two "motherships" from Oak Bay Sailing School and Blackfish Sailing Adventures. Sailing Instruction and certification from ISPA and CYA willl be available on the trip. Also you can accompany these cruises in your own boat as part of a guided flotilla.
On the first two legs to Port Hardy we will be sailing during the day only, and experiencing some scenic anchorages along the way. There will be a half way provisioning stop at Campbell River Discovery Marina. This is a full service marina with fuel, laundry, showers, provisions, pub etc.
Full provisions, ISPA and CYA course materials, instruction and certification are included. Recommended pre-requisite certification is Competent Crew.
Cruise cost (first two legs): As crew: $1785 plus GST and 4% Insurance. As flotilla boat $350 plus GST.

Off the West Coast
This cruise is the return from Port Hardy to Oak Bay, via the West Coast of Vancouver Island. You will experience true offshore sailing, celestial navigation, and watchkeeping, by day and by night. We will be closing the shore several times to reprovision, and visit hot springs etc, with a mid cruise stopover planned for Tofino.
 If you register for this cruise only, you will join the boat at Port Hardy, making your own way there for the start of the trip.
Cruise cost (second two legs): As crew: $1785 plus GST and 4% Insurance. As flotilla boat $350 plus GST.
