OAK BAY SAILING
SCHOOL
offers sailing seamanship and
navigation training on a number of levels. This is
particularly useful for people when chartering etc, as well as giving
confidence in practical skills to tackle sailing trips in varying
weather conditions. |
ALL TRAINING COURSES
. .
.
combine home study of course
workbooks with classroom sessions and practical learning and experience
on waters surrounding the Saanich Peninsula and the Gulf Islands.
We use smaller boats for early sail training, (eg Cal 20),
and work up through larger boats (eg Tanzer 26, Catalina 30) to
venture further afield as we progress to offshore seamanship and
navigation. Group courses are limited in numbers of students to ensure
everybody gets adequate training, with opportunities to practice new
skills in a controlled and sociable environment. |
TRAINING . . .
can be provided as required on our boats
or yours, and have built in flexibility in appointed training times for
people with busy lifestyles! |
